juliet Marc Jacobs in Chicago! Mar 4, 2007 8:00 PM Ah! Once again proving there is a God, the love of my life, Marc Jacobs , is opening a store in Chicago! The boutique will be opened by the end of the summer, and is located at 1714 N. Damen Ave. in Bucktown. This is Marc's first store in Chicago, but is following other recent upscale boutiques such as Scoop NYC, G-Star Denim, and Raizy in choosing Bucktown as their location. I think it's rad that Marc chose Bucktown instead of the usual Oak St./North Michigan Ave. location - Bucktown just has so much more personality and character! The store is 4,000-square-feet and will be pure fabulousness, I'm sure! Does anyone else have info on this?
LadyLucky The New Marc Jacobs : improved or sold out? Feb 17, 2007 10:33 PM On the left is the Marc Jacobs I'm accustomed to seeing, casual geek chic. Reflecting comfort, intelligence and quirkyness. On the right is Marc at a party in London for fashion week. He got his hair did and has definitely been working out. Not to mention he might have caught a touch of the manorexia. Overall, he looks fabulous. But in the fashion industry, and as a celebrity,i this look is generic. What do you think?
juliet Marc Jacobs Splurge: Worth it? Feb 17, 2007 2:29 AM Marc Jacobs Patent Leather Black Heel The truth is, I need validation. And I figure the only worthy (and/or willing) people to give it to me, are my sugar friends, so here's the story: I go into Bloomingdale's looking for a reasonable daytime shoe that I can walk in easily. (I'm going to New York next week and wanted something other than my boots to wear) So I find a cute wedge heel with an ankle strap - brown, comfortable, but still chic. I try it on. It works. I'm ready to check out. But then I see it. The most beautiful Marc Jacobs black patent leather heel I have ever seen in my life. And it's on sale. And then I realize it's 50% off the already marked down price. And it's my size. The only one left in Bloomingdale's and it's my size ! Needless to say, I bought them (both the sensible shoe and the lovely, perfect, divine Marc Jacobs). So my question is this: Justified purchase or silly splurge? The original price was $350, marked down to $209, then 50% off of that which made them just over $100 total.
